The purpose of this project was to redesign the logo & branding for a business or company. I chose DNC Computers; a locally owned electronics repair store who I can vouch for their quality of work. I felt they would benefit from a more modern logo and as such chose them as the basis for my design.

The project starts out with a variety of rough sketches of numerous iterations. About 50 or so various iterations were made to kick-start the process before settling on a few designs.

After discussion between peers these are the three logo designs I settled on and digitized in Adobe Illustrator.

I eventually came to settle on the first design to the left with some minor adjustments; namely the removal of the black outer stroke & giving some additional breathing room to the text below the icon. The removal of the outer stroke required an adjustment to be made to the mouse cursor styled pointer by making the interior the opposite color to the lettering color, whether black or white.
